I used to collect hotel accommodation books. Remember those booklets you could get at brand-name hotels that would list the hotels in each state? Maybe a dumb question: what are the health effects, if any, to having that stuff laying around your house? Just curious. Uranium glass is pretty interesting stuff.

That's an issue, as you can inhale it, and it can decay in your lungs. I will sometimes clear it out by taking it outside, opening the lid and holding a small fan over the opening for a minute or so.
