In the city I live in, if theres a holiday they just collect the garbage on the following day. So if you're a garbage man and you have a long weekend with a holiday Monday, thats great and all but then you have a short weekend because you're collecting Friday people garbage on Saturday. I hope they're at least getting over time for that poo poo.

lifehack: if you buy a garbage truck you can just drive around and people will literally just give u their garbage and then you'll have a whole bunch of free garbage.

I'm pretty sure some people in my neighborhood thought the trash was coming Tuesday but it came monday like usual. I put mine out pretty late at night on Sunday and it didn't look like everyone had theirs out. I thought I was the one putting it out early. Sucks for those people their garage is gonna reek probably.

In my town there's just a bottomless pit in the town square and we just chuck all our garbage in there. Do not all towns and cities have their own bottomless pitt? Apart from all the people who fall in it dumping their trash, super convenient. Can just dump your trash in when ever you feel like it.

I have an update for you op: trash was picked up yesterday as per usual, however the recycling was not. I’m expecting recycling pickup today instead. Minor inconvenience but I’m glad the fellas got a day off.
