I would think that for a standard breech you'd want to throw the mines between you and the breech and rotate around the breech so the bugs, which move towards you, will hit all the mines instead of making a little trail through and ignoring 70% of the mines.

What will actually happen is you'll throw the mines and immediately be kicked regardless.

EATs take them down in a single shot without hitting a weak point. Best stratagem.

With the autocannon you can pop off four shots as quickly as you can aim, though. No need to call in the EAT or pick it up or wait for its animation, and seconds matter once the gunships are in the air. Plus you have six more shots without reloading should you miss.

EAT is great on bug planets (one callin to kill three chargers!) but I don't bother with it on bot planets.

Because you always know when you're about to face gunships currently, I don't find the call in time is really an issue. Just call it in before they spawn. But I often run autocannon and EATs, so it's a bit moot.

They said the shrapnel was actually causing a negligible amount of damage to enemies and they buffed the damage of the explosive to make up for it.

It should take less than an hour to take the Eruptor through the range and shoot at every type of enemy and get a feel for what it's capable of - surely they must've known it was very capable of one shotting Bile Spewers and Brood Commanders.

FWIW, I think the Eruptor did too much. It should either let you bring down Medium targets, or it should let you lay waste to Light targets with AoE. Not both.
EIther of those is a fine tradeoff with a Primary for something that is unwieldy, has low ammo, and low RoF. But if it does both, it has to do neither well, which makes the tradeoffs worse.
Personally I most enjoyed it acting as the Medium Armor killer for the team. It felt like BS that I could also splat entire patrols of Light enemies that I caught unawares. I'll happily lose that function if I can keep being able to deal with those Medium problems, especially with the bonus benefit of being able to trivially open containers, close holes, etc.

My biggest disappointment with the nerfs is that rather than narrowing a gun around "this is the thing it does well", they make it less effective at everything it does. I'd rather have a toolbox of specialist equipment than just a range of soft hammers.

When they were testing exosuits weren't they diving in with other players?

I guess that might have just been a marketing tease thing though
