Literally everyone I've seen online groaned at his inclusion. Kazumi was a much better "beginner" character that had way better design and enough gameplay stuff going on to be fun to play. I don't think having one middle eastern character in your roster of 30 is especially pandering.

Anyway all the different languages in Tekken are only slightly more accurate than their depictions of Bear and Jaguar, but it’s still significantly cooler than everyone speaking normal English or Japanese. Which is why of course the biggest problem in Tekken is that Lars doesn’t speak bad Swedish.
