If you are in the top 20% of incomes, earn most of your money from corporate profits or business passthrough income, are an American steelworker who is not one of the few that will be laid off due to trade way policies, and aren't an illegal immigrant then these will probably be "better on the economy" for you.

It seems unlikely that those situations apply to most of the roughly 55% of Americans who think that these policies will be better for lowering inflation, though.

Also you live like a monk and will be unaffected by price shocks from the trade war

Any possible solution would require funding, and teachers should not become addicted to funding lest it take hold of them and they start to resent its absence

Considering democrat complacency was a factor in Trump winning in 2016, organizers who think Biden's got it in the bag probably won't say so publicly.

This election really is going to hinge on the question "Who was the president of these United States in 2020?"

Lemme see, March 2020, what was I doing then?

Not really a hot take, but Trump is really just the essence of America distilled into a person isn't he.

He would be an amazing mascot for America. There's a much better reality where he's doing trick dunks at national sporting events

IIRC there was a study in the 90s that found mildly stoned people were actually safer drivers: they sped less and were more careful..

Of course there's the old joke that a drunk driver will blow through a stop sign; a stoned driver will wait for it to turn green.

People are not smart; a small but significant number of Dems absolutely will go for him because of name recognition and tummyfeels
