I'm fairly certain it was Putin trolling Gennedy because he's an old rear end bitch who exists to siphon votes from nostalgic old people, alphabetically the name of the party appears above the KPRF on ballots so babushkas and dedushkas get confused and vote for the splinter party rather than the main party. This made Gennedy mad so he sued them in court over the name sounding nearly identical and claiming people would get confused at the polls which the judge initially agreed with, until the judge was suddenly swapped out a year into the proceedings and the new judge quickly ruled there was nothing wrong with the party name.
