No payoff/fallout at all from Leon taking a bite of the birthday cake?
Why even put it in there?

Sloppy.

Sudden windfall for LD.

It's almost as if Lewis held on long enough until the episode with the bit about him putting Larry in his will aired.
Golden rule of comedy, it's all in the timing. .

"Oh, that was the final two seasons of Seinfeld, I wasn't there back then"

"But you were there for the finale, right?"

"Yeah, I was there for the finale."

Oh, COME ON.
(Still not sure if he's trolling or actually going to do it).

I was hoping for more Conan. I burst out laughing at him walking casually in the first scene cause you know for a fact he was trying his hardest there.

Pretty good episode overall. Poor Richard Lewis tho. :( He must have been confined to a wheelchair during his final year.

I am sure we will see him in the final "trial" episode, but if not, his last appearance on this show was sniffing around in his stinky car ... :sniff:

opengl posted:

Apparently that was his actual wife in the last scene

Wife of "nearly 30 years" according to an ET article, where math is not considered a reality, as they wrote themselves that they met in 1998 and married in 2004.

I also didn't know Lewis died of a heart attack.

What are the odds that the whole Matt Berry encounter was adlibbed on his part?

Close to a 100%. Where are the outtakes of that?

Thoughts on the "HD" conversion for the first six seasons? Wasn't sure if I was going to like having the picture cropped so that it would be full 16:9.....but the picture actually looks pretty, prettay, prettay good.

Well, tonight's the night.

12 seasons, 24 years. It's been an honor.
End of an era.

Going through the cast list for the nostalgia right now.

Holy poo poo, the Seinfeld arc was in 2009?

God I’ll miss this show. I remember not liking it all until I caught the episode where he trips Shaq and it clicked.

What a wonderful show to enjoy all these years. 😞

Never rewatched it, so that's what I'm gonna do.

He looked so young in the earlier seasons.
Still was an old(ish) bald gently caress of course, but some of the flashbacks gave me whiplash from doing double-takes.

Mocha Joe looked and acted eerily like a young Robert deNiro.

I mean, just slap a mole on the jaw and Scorcese could have saved a ton on the de-aging special FX for "The Irishman"

"Lewis needs a kidney" is from 2005.

Cheryl Hines did such a good job of being the unlikeable and accusatory "voice of reason" over the last couple of seasons, that when she got up to say something, I immediately thought "Oh, just sit down and shut up, Cheryl. Don't make this about you!"

Well, finding out a while back she's married to RFK jr. didn't help, but it was the Cheryl character, mostly.
