I think the Jeudy deal makes sense for the Browns. He's getting $13 million, but a decent 2/3 FA would cost about that or more. I mean, Christian Kirk is getting 18 a year as one of the few WRs who actually hits FA. If Jeudy breaks out, they can tag him. If he doesn't, then who cares.

I think teams should do things to accumulate players with potential. That's my hot take.

Why is Jeudy bad, legitimately? I haven't watched many Broncos games. His stats are fine. He has better stats than dudes who will end up costing more in FA. Is it just because he never lived up to the draft status?

He's fine to take a catches and run routes when he's against a zone coverage but he doesn't seem to relish beating someone at the point of attack and I can remember several plays where he short armed a ball in traffic to avoid laying out and taking damage and having 3rd down catches bounce of his hands. He doesn't seem overly willing as a blocker either. Steve Smith is a dick but he's often brutally honest and he was right when he called Jeudy soft. He's fine as I guess a third receiver or something but he's not as reliable as other slot guys and he's not as attacking as other flankers. He's kind of in-between the two in his role and play. At least as I see it.

That all makes sense. Thanks! And I hope being with Cooper on and off the field helps him break those habits hahaha.

Bears at +4000 means that there's a lot of people from Chicago dropping dollars on that bet. This moves the line.

Conversely, absolutely no one is betting on the panthers to make it. Instead, everyone is betting on the panthers to not make it. So the oddsmakers have to shift that line far out to ensure they have roughly 50/50 on each side of the bet. If the panthers start winning this season, that line will shift left, but we all know that isn't going to happen.

3 year 15 million dollars for Rashod Bateman. That's probably a great deal. Rashod Bateman should be a top 25 WR in the league. He's definitely not, but there's really no reason he shouldn't be. Gets open constantly, catches most of the balls that get to his hands, and has good size and speed. He and Lamar are constantly not on the same page. That plus injuries are his story to date. His whole career has been a huge "Huh, that's weird."

I don't think this will work but on paper it really really should.
