there was a guy at the bar gushing about how rare the machine was in such good condition. haven’t heard of the weird al set, is it good or at least clever?

you'd be hard pressed to find a jaws in bad shape -- it only started shipping a month or so ago.

weird al is fun, but the platform it's on is a bit gimmicky. the majority of the playfield is an lcd, which lead to some unique engineering decisions

Glad you're feeling better! The new mushroom looks outstanding. :)

How big are the logs originally? Do you have to trim blocks off before carving?

thanks!

basically i find a fallen tree of the right size and cut sections off, load em in the van, bring em home and just carve em up

i tried taking a real wide section of log, like 20’ diameter or so and carving it up into lil ones but it absolutely did not work well

its mostly heavy enough to not move around much, but toward the end you kinda gotta stand on it

if i was doing a ton of em I'd probably screw em down to a big stump and then just cut off the part i used to hold it, because holding it is absolutely the diciest part of the operation

got some excellent burgs today and then checked out an arcade that had some good pinball machines (Whirlwind, T2, Playboy Pinball and Black Knight 2000) and some awesome old cabinets like Tapper and Burger Time.
Tomorrow is a free play so I picked up some kielbasa I'm gonna throw on the grill and Mrs. Nasty is going to make pierogies :)

Got enough of this done to consider it finished. Beat all the levels, got all the coins, earned all the badges. Not going to do the loot crate the “standees”.

I didn’t get any chores done this weekend. Oh well. About 3 weeks left on leave maybe time to start getting back on a schedule.

I will admit to getting super hype any time I saw a wonder flower. Ohhhhh poo poo, what’s going to happen?

Really liked turning into the wall clinging blob. Whatever that’s called.

Going through World 3 (?) with invisibility on was a pretty fun challenge.

Metal Mario with the Mario64 metal Mario music had me hooting and hollering more than anything I think.

Whatever level it is that starts off like 1-1 then spike balls just start blowing poo poo up was pretty great.

Just really impressive how much effort they put into every level.
