I am here to appreciate Michael Lonsdale. I like to think his character in Ronin is the same one as Day of the Jackal

Yeah honestly on the basecoat you can get very lazy with it, you're gonna get the details later so don't worry if you overdo it. Honestly probably better to have a bit over aggressive basecoat than have gaps in the paint

E: also thinning your paint, even just a little, also helps it flow better

Is there a good way to get Vallejo paints people know of, some are on Amazon but I can't find the ones I want (metallic).

Michigan Toy Soldier and Burbank's House of Hobbies are my go to online paint retailers

If I want to play around a bit with zenithal highlighting, but don't have an airbrush (and don't plan on getting one anytime soon), what's my best option? I could do a black primer basecoat and then spray on Tamiya white fine surface primer maybe? Or drybrush the white on? I don't trust my drybrushing skills enough to get the same directional effect that a spray would accomplish. Any non-airbrushers here have a preferred approach for this?

Yeah I've only done it a little but just using a white rattlecan works fine
