episode had kind of a weird energy (especially in the middle), but the sheer amount of good wrestling overcame it

I felt the same way about this show as I did Dynamite, in that there was nothing wholly awful on the show but there was a lot of middle-ground stuff. The main event was good, but it felt like it lacked a spark or something to really push it over the edge for me. Kind of felt that way with a couple of matches here and on Dynamite. But then, the good stuff really hits.

Overall, a delightful episode of wrestling television that we're blessed to have and only "middle-ground" because of the high standard AEW has set for itself.

Is this a clever reference to the time Satoshi Kojima elbowed CM Punk in the yambags?

The technology in Mr. Kojima's possession is a highly disputed matter, and all official statements on the record insist that such technology is not available to him. Certainly no video evidence exists to the contrary :tinfoil:

For sure. All of the matches have had great builds so these last couple of weeks heading into it feel a little floaty since there isn’t really any new groundwork that needs to be laid. Everyone’s ready to rip each other apart!
