I think it's kind of cringey in most scenarios regardless of the race of the speaker or the dead person. But if the dead person was like a life-long civil rights activist* or, as a random example, self-immolated to protest an ongoing genocide, it's cool, rip in power away *One of the cool ones who got murdered by the FBI
