The Hawks would have been better off keeping him out for the rest of the season. They were playing fine without him and he is nowhere near as bad when healthy as he's looked since he's come back from the injury.

Trae Young to San Antonio for ATL to get some of their picks back and for SA get someone who can pass and dribble for Wemby's development makes too much sense.

And if anyone can turn around Trae Young it's gotta be pop right?

The Lakers would be the funniest place for him to go to, but the Spurs would definitely be the best for him long-term, not to mention it would be incredibly fun to watch both good (on offense) and bad (to see how much Wemby can make up for Trae on defense). Will Wemby want to kill him or just be happy for the easy buckets on offense?

Look I hate Trae, but legitimately that's not his game, he is an extremely willing passer, his problem is just that he is a Dame level defender.

Trae has usually killed the Bulls by throwing up oops to Capella, fortunately the Hawks defense last night was some of the worst poo poo I've seen from an NBA team

They tried really hard to sell Dejounte during this season but nobody would take him off their hands. I really thought they were going to be top echelon of the Eastern Conference after they landed him but they suck!

It is pretty crazy that a starting 4 of Trae, DJ, Bogdan, and Capella seems like a very solid starting point to a competitive team. It just never really worked.

the thing is the Bulls generally wreck Trae

Ayo and Coby have adopted him.

Like since 2021 Trae is 2-9 against the Bulls lmao.

As a Spurs fan I was skeptical of benefits of the trade for Atlanta from the beginning.

Dejounte's All-Star season was a result of him basically being given the green light to do whatever on offense and control the ball. That had anti-synergy with Trae and reduced the rest of the Hawks sharing the floor with them to simple play finishers.

And his defense which was supposed to compensate for Trae's has been overrated since the ACL injury. The Spurs were able to obfuscate his degraded defense because they had Derrick White and Jakob Poeltl.

Wow I totally forgot about this pick. Very cool. I'll root for the Bulls in solidarity and out of my love for Demar.

And yeah the Spurs scam, it's what they do best after solid fundamental basketball. The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world that Davis Bertans might be good at basketball.
