When you have history with a player who is an upgrade in every way, shape, and form over your current starter....well, it's just not the right situation.

Robert Hunt has at least 8 inches on Bryce Young.

What good is stepping up into the pocket (which he won't do) if the QB can't see over the guard

Bozeman was great in the second half of 2022 when the panthers decided to run the dang ball.

He looked terrible in 2023 because reich went to a zone blocking scheme he didn’t have the players for, injuries all over the line, Bryce not being able on call out protections or stay in a predictable place in the pocket, and overall everything in the team turning to poo poo.

Canales wants to run a similar blocking scheme to reich so there you go. They cut him because he’s a good dude and they wanted him to be able to choose his next destination.

Basically the panthers had a great offensive line, hired a coach who couldn’t utilize any of the players, then traded away burns to clear the cap to sign guards that presumably can do what the coach wants.

The team is badly run okay

Isn’t that exactly what Pitts was basically regarded as except he was an even better route runner than Bowers?

Bowers is a CMC type player, except instead of a RB/TE hybrid he’s a TE/Slot receiver mutt. Pitts was the physical freak who theoretically shouldn’t be guard able. Bowers problem is gonna be staying healthy.

Atlanta had just inexplicably not utilized him. Part of that is qb play and part was Arthur Smith being weird.

Maybe he just straight up doesn’t know how to play football but I think he’ll eventually end up somewhere like Buffalo and just go nuts

Old pass rushers who are going to check out of the season the second they are 2-5 aren't what they need to improve their team.

It’s a move for next year too.

You’re hoping you get a lot of development from young players, hit on a couple free agents, draft well, and either you have a high pick for a qb next year or Bryce shows he’s bahahahahhaa I can’t finish that.

Who cares if he goes through the motions this season? We just went through that with burns.

FizFashizzle

No way in hell the panthers get five wins.

As soon as defenses realize bryce still can’t throw deep they’ll stack the box and blitz every down again and things will spiral.
