He probably won't succeed but it might be fun to watch him try. Plus at least Beane didn't spend a second him (looking at you, Boogie)

So the Bills final haul:
One WR, one safety, one CB, one LB, one RB, two DL and three OL.

There's a hell of a lot riding on Shakir, Kincaid and Coleman all stepping up big.

also I reallly like the Miami draft. If Patrick Paul goes to the outside maybe one of the other dudes can shift into the interior, they got the fastest edge rusher, one of the most productive edge rushers, one of the best rbs, and a super intriguing WR. Jets had a solid draft too, they didn't do any stupid poo poo this time which is...miraculous. Fashanu, Corley, and Allen is a solid group to get from those first 3 picks

Michael Clemons isn't close to as good of a player as JFM is. Maybe they needed to dump him for cap reasons but they are a much worse team without him.

They’re not shifting Armstead or Jackson inside.

They’re gonna give him the chance to backup Armstead. He’ll have tons of opportunity

gotcha, I mean Armstead is always injured so good pick regardless but yea still need literally anyone else in the interior. Other than that, really like their draft

Giving the Jets a *spins wheel* B-? Liked the Olu/Corley picks a ton, and then liked Allen after that though I thought they got too cute with the trades back. Don’t understand the second RB they took. And the JFM trade left a stink on all of Day 3, I think.

Getting a future 3rd was a nice move but yeah the late trades down seemed unnecessary. Overall happy with the players they drafted. Don’t like dumping JFM.

Shanahan guys continually drafting RB3/4 with all their late picks is annoying.

I...kind of see it with the RBs? I didn't love it, but I get the vision. They're clearly transitioning away from wide zone and toward more of a gap/power scheme in the run game. I think Allen/Davis better fit that mold than Izzy does (especially Allen). Though they have carried 4 RBs in the past, so maybe Izzy can still contribute as a home run threat and special teamer.

Between Corley and Allen/Davis, I do like that they targeted guys that will make tackling physically punishing, especially for lighter defenses. If those guys are real contributors, the Jets offense will be pretty exhausting to play against.

Still didn't love all the moving around on Day 3 though. Outside of the Detroit trade, felt like they left a lot of value out there. But we won't care if Olu/Corley/Allen are guys.

Bills' draft rationale for not taking more receivers is odd. They can't get free agent wrs because they cost too much, so why not try to take some swings at the position in the draft?

Keon Coleman seems pretty cool. People are freaking out because he seems slow but watching his highlights and thinking about what he could do with Josh Allen throwing him the ball is fun.

Pablo Bluth

I've made a huge mistake.
Beane did hit on the Beasley+Diggs combo, plus the flattering-to-deceive Gave, which let him tinker around the edges. (6th on McCloud, 7th on Austin Proehl, 4th on Davis, 6th on Hodgins, 6th on Marquez Stevenson, 5th on Shakir, 5th on Shorter) . He just seems to have been reluctant and slow to invest once Beasley started to decline and it became evident that Gabe wasn't growing in to a WR1. The farce of having to get Beasley and Brown back for the playoffs two years ago really should have

Brady must really like Curtis Samuel.

Keon's only slow in the 40 so his career as a track star is not happening, but his times running routes were all in the top 3-4, including tied for 2nd in go routes, so I'm not really too concerned he'll be too slow.

edit - Also I really don't have any complaints about the other picks, so taking a 2nd receiver doesn't bother me. Seemed a pretty solid draft.

I do wish the Bills had taken a 2nd WR, just to have another chance of hitting the mark. But they have lots of need at a lot of positions, so I can't judge much. Draft was fine, we will see what they can do. Between the reset on the defensive side and the changeover from the Diggs/Davis era on offense, it will be both an interesting year, and very probably very mid in terms of results.

Honestly just hoping the Bills can identify what their core of the next 5 years should be, they can then target needs in 2025 FA + draft. The biggest question is gonna be what happens with McDermott.
