cardamon + cinnamon (and nothing else) is my favorite combination of spices to add to gruel. if im feeling decadent jeffrey bezos in the moment, a pinch of vanilla bean powder is nice. dont even need to add sugar, they spices give a naturally sweet taste

had overnight oats with chia seed walnut & blueberries. I didn't put enough water (those seeds are deceiving) but some more + a quick spin in the microwave solved that

Ate some gruel this morning. But it was the packaged stuff and loaded with sugar lol. Picked up some find steel cut oats though so next gruel sesh will be better

Hey does anyone else like gruel in this thread? I ate nothing but beans today and I thought it was delicious. Later on I drank a bunch of wine I made myself out of some fruit that I found in a dumpster. I mean it was made from a banana and I unpeeled it and washed it. It was just super, duper, ripe like the peel had completely turned brown. Anyway I'm a modern peasant. The banana wine I made was surprisingly good and, best of all, it was free.
