Looking forward to being here on the ground floor for this one! I think of myself as a longtime FE fan, but I've kind of fallen off the series since Radiant Dawn and given what I've seen I don't have any desire to play the later games, but I'm still kind of curious where things have gone. This one... I've only seen bits and pieces, some of which were interesting and some of which were unbearably cringe-inducing, so I'm curious where the balance will end up landing.

So out of curiosity, is this a fight you're allowed to lose? Or is there a different game over variant if you do mess up and get Alear ganked by his mom? It seems like the kind of thing they might do with how much of this (e.g. surprise movement) is meant to be a wake-up call and catch the player off-guard.
