Wrong thread but I like the cheese under the beans cos they melt better imo.

cheese first forms a melted waterproof layer between meal components and stops the bean sauce from absorbing into the spud, thus reducing your dps (deliciousness per second)

or do like the turks and dump a load of butter and cheese into the potato first before thoroughly mashing it with a fork and then putting your other toppings on

Also, I loving hate jacket potatoes. I think it's an autism texture thing but I genuinely think they should all be launched into orbit where people can't touch or consume the god awful loving things.

That and cotton wool. Cotton wool is literally the worst loving thing on the planet. It makes me feel horribly uncomfortable just typing about how awful it is, it's that awful.

Has anyone watched The 3 body problem on Netflix? I've almost finished it and think it's great. Curious if anyone else has enjoyed it.

I'm enjoying it, even though I loving despised the book. Book was like 4 intriguing concepts folded into hundreds of pages of dreck, with a super CCCP-approved historiography of the Cultural Revolution thrown in. Honestly just felt like blatant propaganda. And even though I'm well used to sci-fi with bad characterisation and terrible dialogue this book really took the biscuit.

So it's good that the show jettisons almost all of that and just keeps the interesting concepts. It's a solid 7/10 show for me

I liked the books. The cccp-approved stamps all over the place is kinda a given and almost crucial to the work as a whole as it being a particular work of a particular time and place which gives us a bit of a glimpse into a world that isn't often accessible in the west.

My experience with working with diabetic patients is that they frequently omit that they eat half a pond of jelly babies per day.

Typically type 2 though.

I was very sceptical about it. Especially being Amazon.

But the sets are amazing and the characters are a little 1 dimensional for me, but it was enjoyable. I like a lot of the Easter eggs etc too. Im not sure how I feel about the ending in a canonical sense though.

Working my way through Fallout at the moment and enjoying it immensely. My one note would be that I wish it was weekly releases rather than all in one go like Amazon do with a lot of their other shows. Hopping round avoiding spoilers from people who binged it all is no fun.

3 Body Problem is next on the list to watch. Tried reading it, and bounced off it hard, the book is hard going and not engaging at all.
