Like the premise might be vaguely plausible if it was explained as something the US government transformed into, but apparently it's actually MAGA chudsthe Sons of Jacob just doing a terrorist attack and magically controlling 90% of the US in its aftermath.

It's basically just Iranian Revolution fanfic but it forgets the part where the country was wracked by mass unrest and violent revolution because basically everyone hated the government, and the fundamentalists only seized power after they stabbed everyone else in the back
