I have a few friends who are paralyzed and recently the assisted living home got a demonstration model of this robot: What is obi? quote:Obi is a revolutionary adaptive eating device for individuals with upper extremity strength and mobility limitations. The one my friend got to try has a remote that goes near his hand (he has a little finger movement in one hand) and he can push a button that tells the robot what bowl to feed him from and when he wants a bite. He was loving stoked about it, and I figured you guys would think it was cool too so I made this post. Was thinking to shitpost, but that is genuinely interesting, OP. My dad had several strokes in his life and something like this would have helped him eat well since he had trouble with his hands. I know it was something that embarrassed him as he aged and I just wanted him to feel like his old self and not ashamed.
