Concussion/TBIs are rough stuff. The new treatment protocol is no screens, dark room, for at least a week or so, push your employer for the time off. See if you can get in with a neuropsychologist ASAP. If you need physio or speech pathology it’s a long waitlist so you need the neuro assessment pronto.

I knew somebody who got in a head to head collusion in Friday night high-school football game. He was knocked down but the coach put him back in the game for few more plays until he had to sit out rest of the game because he felt "off". Went home after the game and Monday morning it was announced to the school that he died over the weekend, found dead in his bed for some reason.

I got a concussion in gym during high school. I got pushed headfirst into the concrete block wall and lost conciousness for a little bit. When regaining i couldnt walk straight and everything was upside down for a little bit. nobody took me to the doctor and I slept for 1 and a half full days. Afterward I had a lingering issue where if I looked at a number like 1,076 I would read and process it as 6,701. That caused issues with my service job lol
