I think the Ric Flair energy drink involves a contract that they're riding out. They don't emphasize the product at all and they pulled Flair from TV immediately after his lovely horny old man promo

Hoping he never shows up again but I do enjoy when wrestlers hit each other with cans of the stupid drink.

they brought ric in for sting and the pushback was really loving severe, they started phasing him out more and more which makes sense now, there's no reason for him to be there anymore. I still laugh that when Sting mentioned Ric a bunch of people booed and he was like ah come on now lol.

i would be okay with mercedes going into the elite, i thought there was an outside chance of both big money and "big money" signings going there, even possibly a double debut in Boston, which is why I was so surprised Okada actually showed up when he did also CEO etc

also, and here's something i just thought of, this may provide an avenue for Bryan after he steps away from being a full-time wrestler. Bryan could be the on-screen booker as needed (which would make sense, because I suspect his backstage role will only expand when his wrestling decreases) and then this gives a mouthpiece when available and a reason for him to just wrestle whatever big matches he wants to.
