not sure about the new track, i look forward to the ever changing locales and i hope the driver was called "The American" because this episode was filmed in America and they will source a local driver for each episode really enjoyed the show though, the chemistry is still there

the whole supercar "trinity" thing was a giant gently caress you to the BBC and a fart huffing parade for amazon, for the BBC not having the balls or money to make it work and for amazon to showcase how they could. the companies that made those cars did not want them onscreen together let alone on the same track near a stopwatch

Very uninterested in super/hypercar comparisons. Do cars that people who purchase the internet might be able to afford. Nothing is less interesting than watching 3 hybrids (porsche, ferrai, mclaren) compete on their gay rear end track when they are all near a million dollars a piece.

Watched it earlier, wasn't quite as sharp with the humor, etc. as before (maybe just too self-referential? And dumbed down for Americans?) going to give it a few more episodes, like I have anything better to do.

It looks like they're saying goodbye to the horrible 'star in a reasonably priced car' segment which was unalloyed trash 99.9% of the time.

Good: There's a lot a money behind this which means potential It's on Amazon so it's more accessible Neutral: New track seems interesting Bad: Humor attempts were too forced. Too many bad American jokes. Too many scenes of exhaust pipes shooting water and smoke (wtf).

Counterpoint-- before the very end of the BBC run it was almost all British celebs I had never heard of and I enjoyed that somehow. RIP Wogan.

I just watched the first ep and it's really a step up from TopGear. Bigger budget, but the gang still feels the same. I don't think carporn gets any better. Only downside is stupid Amazon doesn't release entire seasons at once.

I"m curious to see if they still do military stuff. I imagine so. I missed a few minutes of the first episode so they might already have done it.

And tbf, few celebs would last on their new ebola test track. I dunno, I thought the old segment was decent variety, and a good counterpoint for all the hypercar porn for those who don't care for it as much.

Lol remember when she won all of the southern democrat primaries as if those states dont lean more right than a man who just had his right leg blown off? (as evidenced by people literally threatening to kill the top gear crew over the statement above)

They'll do the other poo poo later same as every season. Its just a cool ep to show off the pinnacle of engineering.
