Wing did have some good enemy unit designs.

I keep waiting for the day they release a Taurus model of any grade.

I remember watching Endless Waltz as a kid, a month after Wing finished, and suddenly all these new designs out of loving nowhere. :raise:

Just a few months ago I decided to check what was up with that, and I found out it was just another artist or something like that. :v:

This is just an observation I made over the past few years.

Early UC (0079-CCA) - boxy
Late UC (F91-Victory) - simplistic
G - over the top fun
Wing, X - gritty mechanical
Turn A - just plain weird (not a bad thing)
Seed/Destiny - modern mechanical
00 - smooth
AGE (Feds) - modern mechanical
AGE (Vagan) - very alien

Discuss.

It doesn't help that not a single one of those descriptions is accurate in the least. I mean, Wing is gritty mechanical? Mmmhmm. Tell that to the robot with extending dragon arms and the other robot that transforms into a flying two-headed dragon (with a long tail!).

Wing Zero is probably pretty gritty, what with all those crevices between the feathers.

I really don't understand why people hate the endless walz designs, the deathscythe hell custom and the heavyarms custom are awesome suits. the only real bad one is the wing zero.

I don't think they're so much hated as they are overused and now tiring to look at, especially in regards to Wing Zero Custom.

Because change is scary to some people. Then again, I'm biased because sandrock custom is a favorite of mine.

I don't like the Endless Waltz designs from a utility standpoint. The clown mask on Heavy Arms is dumb, and I love the little laser knife. Sandrock also needed to keep his beam Uzi.

To be fair, you could argue that the machine is either hard-coded to move the arms clear when it goes full open or just plain isn't meant to unload everything at once like that.

Vertical's twitter is talking about The Origin preorders. About 2000 from Diamond and Amazon right now so the print run looks like it will be about 4000 with no reprints. They're almost begging people to preorder from Barnes and Noble to get the numbers up so they'll carry it in the store.

If you haven't preordered yet but plan to give Barnes and Noble a look.
