[...] I finally got around to putting everything up on eBay and sold almost all of it. I ended up making around $3700. And now, I'm trying to decide the best thing to do with it. ACDKylie Walter Glenn Bitcoin is relatively cheap right now. I would buy myself a pizza, and then put the rest into Bitcoin. 53 minutes ago

We need a Bitpay or Coinbase affiliate program and we need it asap (self.Bitcoin) submitted 1 hour ago by Cygnus_X I was out to dinner last night when the owner of the restaurant approached me. He came to the table, smiling ear to ear, and asked me all the usual's. How is your dinner? How is the family? Is there anything I can get you? I've known this guy for nearly 5 years. I eat at his restaurant a few times each month. We see each other often. This particular night, I was tempted to ask him if he'd consider taking Bitcoin along side visa, mastercard and discover. It would be a great opportunity for him as nobody else in the area takes Bitcoin and he could save upwards of 1%-2% per transaction. But, I didn't. I didn't because I'm waiting for Bitpay or Coinbase to start an affiliate program. I want to make a commission for each signup. If I signed him up now, it means I'd lose a future commission. It makes me wonder how many other people are waiting for the same thing and how big of boom we'll see with business adoption once affiliate programs are available.

Be careful. I tried getting back into mining and got scammed :/ (self.Bitcoin) submitted 1 hour ago by dtrmp4 Site was bestandfirst.com which now redirects to a Chinese travel site (bestandfirst.net) Their website looked just like http://asic-products.com but had sale prices. I'm pretty sure I googled the site when I ordered on Jan. 3rd and found nothing sketchy. I figured after 2 weeks, I got scammed or it'd take a while. Today I checked my confirmation email and tried to go to the site and got redirected. I googled the site and found this post Yeah that site is a scam... Sad They do a lot of promoting, and come up with different names on a regular basis. Always do you research before you purchase. Usually if a site only takes bitcoin payments that should be your first clue... so, I started mining in 2010. I sold my first bitcoin when it spiked to $80ish, then transferred the 2nd to silkroad...I had .7 left. Spent some on gift cards, and split up the rest into spending and storage. Lost my spending bitcoins. I've always liked bitcoins. I remember when they were $20, but poo poo, they're worth real money now. Be careful.

is that dust breaking wallet bug real, cause.... Spam transactions I keep getting spam transaction of 0.00000001 BTC form this address anyone know how to stop this? https://blockchain.info/address/1SochiWwFFySPjQoi2biVftXn8NRPCSQC - Is this some kind of attack? A large number of 0.00001 mBTC been sent to a many addresses! https://blockchain.info/address/14zfMVJyJ3o5f7HwcZxnkoAZPn9AYgeeU4 - These transactions make me suspicious, are they normal? I dont exchange BTC with anybody. I just got 3 "gifts" of 0.00000001BTC from two different addresses, so 6 total. Could somebody help explain why someone would randomly do this? its just confusing. [Address 1](https://blockchain.info/address/1Enjoy1C4bYBr3tN4sMKxvvJDqG8NkdR4Z) [Address 2](https://blockchain.info/address/1Enjoy1C4bYBr3tN4sMKxvvJDqG8NkdR4Z) - Receiving multiple random unconfirmed 0.00000001 from satoshidice - never been to that site before. Does this affect the balance in that address in any way?

https://bitcoinfoundation.org/blog/?p=418 Contrary to Mt. Gox’s Statement, Bitcoin is not at fault Gavin Andresen Feb 10 2014 The issues that Mt. Gox has been experiencing are due to an unfortunate interaction between Mt. Gox’s implementation of their highly customized wallet software, their customer support procedures, and their unpreparedness for transaction malleability, a technical detail that allows changes to the way transactions are identified. Transaction malleability has been known about since 2011. In simplest of terms, it is a small window where transaction ID’s can be “renamed” before being confirmed in the blockchain. This is something that cannot be corrected overnight. Therefore, any company dealing with Bitcoin transactions and have coded their own wallet software should responsibly prepare for this possibility and include in their software a way to validate transaction ID’s. Otherwise, it can result in Bitcoin loss and headache for everyone involved. The Bitcoin core development team has worked to limit transaction malleability. There is broad agreement in the community that this needs to be eliminated. Finding the best and most responsible solution will take time. In the meantime, users of the reference implementation do not need to be concerned. Transactions are always tracked properly by the Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind software. This is a good reminder that Bitcoin is still young and experimental. There are best practices to think about and account for by those who want to build companies. To help improve both the reference implementation and third party software, the Foundation is committed to working with companies to produce best practices to help improve software.

if nobody can understand transactions because people are loving with them, that's kind of like anonymity if you squint. this is good for bitcoin.
