How would you rate it amongst other Stalingrad films? Mine goes like: 1.) Stalingrad 2.) Enemy at the Gates 3.) Stalingrad Stalingrad is probably one of the worst war films I've seen, while Stalingrad is really pretty great.

I read about Vasily Zaytsev as a kid and the story always fascinated me so when the movie came out I snuck in with a few friends, I was only like 16 at the time. That's my story.

I mean its got Bob Hoskins, Ron Perlman, and the villain is played by Ed Harris. Given that, its surprisingly lovely.

My story is that my teacher in my senior year history class showed the movie as a good historical example of WWII. I am 100% serious and not kidding.

I went there with a new friend and the guy at the box office was new to his job and verbally repeating everyone's orders. So I asked for Enema at the Gates. He repeated it and I laughed at him. That and the unnecessary loving scene was the only thing I remember from the film.
