Not having read the manga, I found the actual creation of the incubus to be funny. Not so much the scenes afterward till Maria bursted out the house on a gigantic metaphoric penis. Also I thought I was going to hate Artemis but I love how much of an unapologetic bitch she is and her snappy comments are really fun.

Second episode of Yoru no Yatterman is somehow more depressing than the first, despite nothing intrinsically sad happening. The dead trees, the small amount of people, the focus on animals rather than on people, the grey always cloudy sky... its such an oppressing setting. The comedy bits just sort of reinforced how hosed up the world is. I cant say I'm enjoying watching it but somehow, this is a good thing

Maria's actually a really good adaption of the comic so far, the only real changes have been shuffling and extending some scenes around to make a better intro episode. The battle in the first one was nowhere as involved, and the start of this episode is actually how the comic begins.

The beginning of Maria The Virgin was all kinds of messed up, even if it is justifiable via historical legends and mythology, but that got really interesting really fast. I really hope that becomes the main focus of the show.

Magical school boys saving the world with the help of their pink wombat go against evil nazi school council led by a green porcupine. In the latest episode you have two instances of crotch shots. One showing their ballet teachers dick to his students and the other had one of the protagonist show his big fat bank account to a schoolmate. The all male school just happens to have occasional pretty boy because why the gently caress not?
