at a block every 10 minutes 3,600 coins get mined per day. if all those coins are sold then it would take ~$800,000 per day to keep the price @ 220. so not exactly surprising that unregulated exchanges experience technical difficulties when the price unexpectedly craters. since some form of relationship between miners and exchanges must exist. even if it's not a direct relationship. stinch fucked around with this message at 00:31 on Aug 26, 2015 |

i remember when /r/bitcoin would tell people to shop with and use bitcoin. most posts were about how people found tricks to use bitcoin in their daily lives. now most posts say "hodl" or talk about how inevitable it is that bitcoins will be $10,000 some day. the posts about getting hacked or otherwise losing coins have been constant though
