Wow, I honestly had no idea The Genius was that popular outside of these forums. I've been listening to old episodes of the two podcasts covering the show, and it's kind of awesome to hear other fans geeking out over the show and spending hours discussing characters and game analysis. I do find it amusing that everyone on each podcast predicted Kyunghoon beating Dongmin in the finals.

I was scouring through old Season 1 clips trying to find the origins of Extreme Ways and it's amazing how many shots I saw with giant film crews in the frame. It's almost like they made no effort to actually disguise any of it. Is this just as prevalent now and I'm so engaged in the episodes that I don't notice or is it something they have cleaned up over time?

It seems a lot of their soundtrack now comes from random poo poo they pick off of SoundCloud. As long as Houngchul doesn't win Season 2 I'll be fine. The guy seems like douche personified. Also the person eliminated in Episode 1 (season 2) was another person I couldn't stand so, so far so good.

It's probably a stretch, but it'd be pretty great if Kyunghoon was unable to accept that his own mistakes are what lead Sangmin to the Death Match, and instead blamed Kyungran for making him take out Sangmin. Speaking of the Sangmin elimination, it reminds me that I completely saw through his obnoxious fake-bluff, and that since Kyunghoon was trailing at the time if Sangmin was able to do it too we could very possibly have gotten a Sangmin/Dongmin final. The final and story leading up to it this season was great, but I think this would have been interesting as hell.

Sangmin probably would have tried to knock Dongmin to the deathmatch, while getting immunity for himself. Multiple times, if needed. The best way to fight Dongmin is not to fight him.

Spoilers regarding Toke of Immortality: That was so loving kick rear end. 2 tokens in the safe and Sangmin used it loving perfectly. Goddamn I wish Survivor would steal that gimmick. Holy gently caress I laughed and yelled so loud seeing Doohee get hosed over like that

Whilst not explicitly the same, they've said the idol could look like anything this year. This means the idol could just be painted stick or something, which could throw a spanner in the works.

At the very least, I think Sangmin would have known where Dongmin's bombs were in the first match, and may have played that game better than Kyunghoon did. I'm not sure who could have beaten Dongmin in the second game.
