This season is so much more satisfying than the last, for reasons that I don't properly understand. I think it mostly has to do with the lack (so far) of modern political nonsense on Earth, since I remember liking the CK2-style political machinations in the first before all of the onsen "stuff". But there's arguably less of that this time, and it's far more focused on individual characters, so I really don't know.

Baron (Bacon?) and God getting roasted by the dragon and then by the base staff was good. More Bacon Baron and God please Gate, less pretending to be somebody's dad to sleep with them and using a dragon for therapy reasons.

The second those dark elves were introduced, I knew none of them were going to make it to the end of the episode.
