If your normal godzilla movie has Godzilla sprouting from some type of tadpole and turning water into a toxic red substance, or if Godzilla splits off into some sort of smaller godzilla, then yeah, its a normal godzilla movie.

So hey I saw Shin Godzilla today. It felt pretty close to being a live action Eva, just minus the robots and the children. I rather enjoyed it.

I imagine the fact that half of the soundtrack was lifted from Eva helped. It's a good movie though, people who post too much in this thread should definitely watch it when they get a chance.

Part of the soundtrack came from Bleach, too.  There was also the fact that the names/titles that appeared on screen to introduce characters used the same font that Eva uses. And that Godzilla was basically treated like an Angel. And a few other small details but seriously guys the movie was really good.
