Does anyone make Clip art scrap booking stuff? I made some football stuff for a family member around New Years, she said stuff like this would sell to scrap booking people. I though I could make sets for other sports and the major Holidays, but wanted to see if any of you have anything to say about it before I put the work in. my shop link is https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/AzureDesignandCraft

I sell Chinese Money Plant seedlings on etsy. AKA: Pilea Peperomioides, Chinese Money Plant, Missionary Plant, Pancake Plant, Lefse Plant. For some reason you can't seem to find them anywhere. I don't know about shipping internationally just yet but I'm going to try to figure that out soon. This is my first etsy shop and I'm only doing it until I run out of seedlings. Feel free to give me any suggestions! https://www.etsy.com/shop/GilsPlants

So I have a shipping question because shipping profiles are kinda limited. I'm selling pins/buttons. For example, I'm selling a set of Stranger Things buttons: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/473954533/stranger-things-inspired-pin-back But shipping is a bit tricky. If I sell 1-4 buttons because of weight and thickness of the envelope they fall into one shipping bracket (about $6.70 S&H) and if I sell 5+ then it's a higher bracket ($9.60 S&H). I've been listing it at the higher shipping price, and refunding the difference for people who buy fewer buttons, but I'm not sure if this is the best method? It's enough of a difference that I don't feel comfortable just leaving it at the higher amount, but I'm not sure if it looks bad refunding shipping, like I don't have my act together. Should I say somewhere on the listing that that is what I'm doing? I can't seem to figure out how to write custom text in the "shipping & policies" section. Is there a more elegant solution? Splitting it into two different listings feels clunky as well.

Have you tried Etsy's calculated shipping? You just put in what the dimensions and weight of a single button and it adds up for you if someone buys more. But if you do plan to to refund I would put something in the listing. If anything it will help the customer feel more comfortable in purchasing.

It's been awhile since I posted in here and I finally have something new on my etsy! https://www.etsy.com/shop/AmicusGoods I wove and felted a great big sheet of wool to make toddler and baby slippers and they came out amazing. I actually made a video of my weaving and felting process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA5Els77xO4

I've got a weird problem. I make posable needle felted dolls, and needle felting really doesn't really get easier or faster if you scale up production. There's no patterns to use or blanks to make ahead of time, so I've been using my store as more of a showcase with commission info. http://randomferret.etsy.com I've spent a lot of time dialing in the prices and trying to put up a broad enough range of listings to attract customers with different needs and budgets, and I've gotten a few followers but I still only get one or two orders a month. I know that Etsy isn't really the right platform for this. I can't do shopfills or the other kind of things that brings people in, but I also can't figure out any better option. I've spend hundreds of hours on social media trying to attract customers to my personal site, but that hasn't gotten me even a fraction of the orders I get from Etsy. Is there a better option? (I'd also like to move away from copyrighted characters but I know that would be suicidal.) flavor.flv fucked around with this message at 22:03 on Oct 9, 2016 |

Getting interest seems to be one of the biggest issues most Etsy sellers seem to have. So if anyone has tips I'm all ears. I recently started doing videos of my stuff. No clue how worth it is for me yet. Only suggestion I have for you RandomFerret is I noticed you take OC's. It might be a good idea to do a side by side comparison of the original work with your finished felted doll. People are just super visual and it might give someone that extra push and confidence to order.

Am I obligated to ship by the "ship by" date? Will something happen to my shop if I don't? I have a listing where I give the option of 9 possible designs for buttons, but say if people order fewer than 9 they need to tell me which ones they want. This is all outlined in the listing and has worked with the dozen or so orders of this I've already had. I had a buyer only order 5 and not say which they wanted. I've messaged them on Etsy and emailed them (and am about to again) but they haven't responded and the ship by date is tomorrow. Should I cancel the order if they don't respond by tomorrow and tell them to order again? Can I let this date lapse or does Etsy track if you have delinquent orders and it reflects poorly on you?

So I jumped into the already overcrowded field of enamel pin design! Here's my first design - glows in the dark! And this one in two colorways because I am apparently willing to go way out of my way for a dumb dad joke Once I break even with one of these I'm planning on making more designs, shop is at https://www.etsy.com/shop/funtimesusa

My wife does cross-stitch, and her friend does embroidery (no emb yet, but it'll be there) in their Etsy shop, Save Point Crafts: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SavePointCrafts She loves taking grandma-looking cross stitch patterns and adding some attitude and nerdy goodness. She's been doing this for a couple of years now at Otakon art alleys and recently started stocking her shop and doing custom orders. Everything she does comes framed and ready to go on walls or desktops. She even has a couple of custom offerings for nerdy weddings! Even the FGC gets a shout out. I keep telling her to make a dick butt cross stitch but she won't listen :-( Check 'em out! https://www.etsy.com/shop/SavePointCrafts

I posted about this in another thread, but figured I post it here. I've been making realistic/anatomically correct silicone brains for Goons and now I have them on Etsy. People use them as a desk toy or anatomical model. I'm also selling a bust. I'll be adding more eclectia in the future https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheSpookyWorkshop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGBPpm4In5A

hey, I'm not really looking into rejoining/participating in the etsy community on SA because I'm a big baby bitch, but I'm here to apologize for the plagiarism and all the lovely acting-out I did a few years ago. I was banned for it, and I deserved that. after that, I apologized to the people I plagiarized on etsy, and I removed the few items from my shop. a lot of bad poo poo was going on in my life at that point and the ban helped me straighten a lot of things out. four years on and I am in a better place, and my shop is good and fun now! no sarcasm or ill-will intended: thanks again for calling me out on my poo poo.

Nice! Everything looks great! Also I noticed you had the shipping for the USPS from last year. Looks like they changed things up a tiny bit this year. https://delivercheer.com/#/shipping-dates So the cut off date for USA-USA is the 20th for First-class or the 21st for Priority mail. Which is probably what most of USA Etsy sellers use. But all the other dates and info are on that site if anyone needs them for the USPS.

I had been getting an average of about 1 order a week and then I don't know what happened but suddenly I'm getting 11 orders in 3 days. Of course this is all the day I leave for vacation and I didn't bother to put my shop on vacation mode before I left because I didn't think it would matter. Guess I know what I'm doing when I get home.
