Don't forget that Pence was at least partially a pick meant to appeal to hard right evangelicals. He's basically a far more well spoken and politically savvy Ted Cruz. O'Reilly refusing to believe the moon is responsible for the tides reminds me of that Jack Chick comic with the Christian totally owning his atheist professor, asking him what keeps atoms held together. The professor responds "Gluons!' and the guy responds "WRONG! No one has ever seen gluons, they don't exist! It's actually Jesus that holds together every atom personally!" And then the professor quits because he knows he cannot argue with such iron-clad logic. I dunno who that rear end in a top hat filling in for Glenn Beck today was, but what a piece of poo poo. He was talking about some video MTV released that starts out "Hey fellow white guys, it's almost 2017, here's a list of things we need to do better." It got a lot of backlash and I don't know much about it, but he was playing audio clips from the video and commenting on it. The very first thing the video said is that "America was never great," and the guy stops and goes on about how he doesn't know what that means, because people of all races have been rich in the US, and then says "So I guess maybe they're talking about racism?" He then mentions how he grew up in Cleveland, and apparently that means his life has been so hard, and then literally says "Yeah racism is bad but white people have it tough too!"

Crazy idea(?): Trumplestilskin is going to do one term, then bow out. But, Ivanka, who seems to be angling toward getting experience/exposure as a surrogate 1st lady of sorts, will run in his stead and the Repubs will eat that poo poo up. They fell head over heels for Palin, so it stands to reason that if there is an opportunity to go with a pretty female face that also has "experience," as both a businessperson and a now government official (of sorts) and she has the Trump last name too, then she's a lock for the nom if not the presidency. Then, we get to hear not only how Republicans all personally freed the slaves, but they also are the only ones to successfully install a woman as president. All of this, of course, being dependent upon Trump actually making it through the presidency and not being impeached or throwing us all into a nuclear hellscape. Am I too far gone into thinking this?
