The other day I found vol1 of both Hana and Hina and A Kiss and White Lily for my Dearest Girl at work - pleasantly surprised to see we carry them. (Major chain bookstore) Hoping it wasn't just a one off.

No BL is probably better than only having Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and Junjou Romantica on the shelves, tbh. Though Border years ago had a lot of BL stuff published by June

We definitely have some, though this may vary depending on your local store/what the vagaries of corporate decide they should have. Offhand titles I can think of that I've seen at one time or another: What Did You Have For Dinner, His Favorite, Worlds Greatest First Love. Probably some more I don't recognize, it's not a genre I read.

BL doesn't get the push that bara does in terms of being "queer" art though. (but porn still sells)

There's been a couple more chapters of Miss Kiryu Doesn't Know What Love Is. Props for the author making the so-called "trap" character in the manga-within-the-manga into an actual trans girl, and the main character standing up for her proper representation in the anime.

the anime should have them dating even though they're both girls, imo e: also if it's gonna be about various people pursuing her while she tries to figure out where she stands with her sexuality and also pay so much lip service to sexual minorities I hope it gives her at least one female love interest too. I find myself bouncing off of a premise waaay before they get that far along. Here's hoping this one is self-aware enough to be different. I'm personally hoping that he turns out to be a bit of a romantic idiot. He knows the script but screws up the execution.

I think for the Miss Kiryu manga, I find it really fascinating how Assassin points out that Kiryu is like her protagonist from the manga. Both are loners in a sense that don't understand why people like them and they feel they're better off not being in a relationship; all the hilarity comes from the fact that she's barreling into a similar situation where there's now two guys interested in her and she doesn't get why. That moment when your life becomes the manga genre you hate the most and you're writing for at the same time... So what I'm saying is, is that this manga is working with some good layers here and it's only been 3 chapters. Let's hope it doesn't go to waste. Did I miss something, or did love buzz turn into a completely different manga about different characters halfway through? It's the same artist it seems, is it just an upload error, or is LB not solely focused on the jerk wrestler and her daughter? Edit: ah, it seems so, I couldn't make out part of the translator notes on my phone but it seems to be something by the same artist called koi-iji: love glutton, maybe just a mistaken upload.
