I don't remember that shot exactly or where it happened, but it's probably a part of shinji slowly realizing that rei is a clone of his mom and he wants to gently caress her. So it's like... himself? There's also other reasons for why shinji would see himself in rei. Both eva pilots, both have relationship with his father, etc.

It was right after Unit 01 was absorbed into Lilith's head-vagina-third eye, and Shinji saw all the Rei clones floating by. A neat little detail.

There's nothing quite like NGE. So few series are introspective and portray its characters in such a human and flawed manner. So many Eva clones after it and they only copied the most surface level things about the series. *clicks "psychological" tag on myanimelist, sees loving tokyo ghoul*

Gainax, already on life support, gets dealth another blow. I hope it dies before the planned Honneamise sequel and Gunbuster 3 get made. I think since a different studio is making it FLCL so it will still go on. Someone translated it as "After that, and the end. Not and Anti" but that last part to me looks more like "mistake, then anti-" e: "Continuation, and the end/ mistake then anti (or antithesis)" i really need to relearn my kanji because i just remembered those

like the MP Evas? assuming that they don't do what they did during the previews in 2.0 for 3.0, there was a series fight shown in the 3.0 previews. who knows at this point, though. there was apparently a lot of difficulty coming up with something to do for 4.0, so it may have changed again

IMO the canon viewing order for Rebuild will be 1.11 > 2.22 > Giant God Warrior Appears in Tokyo > 3.33 > Shin Godzilla > 3.0 + 1.0
