Ehlingers been most effective as a runner, so yeah I'm not sure it'd be a huge difference. He had good teams at OSU when Braxton Miller was the QB too, and Heard isn't any worse as a passer than Miller was

Agree that Heard seems like a really natural fit for Herman’s offense as seen at tOSU and Houston. And I’d love to see him unleashed again because drat he could be electric. Weird that he never really seemed to get a look when Herman arrived. I wonder how much of it was Heard just not being interested in competing for the QB spot again. I mean if he has an NFL future at this point it’s much more likely to be at WR, maybe he wants to get more experience and put together film there. Also our big 2018 QB commit is apparently a pro-style pocket passer which seems odd. For that matter Herman went after Kyle Allen at Houston so who knows what he’s got in mind.
