Babidi had all sort of really neat powers that no one else has been able to duplicate. Though, most of Roshis techniques are more like spells than martial arts moves anyway.

GT turned Gogeta into Gotenks. Idiotic, focused on useless moves, and ultimately a gigantic waste of time. It's bad enough that Xenoverse 2 outright considers both Gogetas completely separate characters, if they fight, Super Saiyan Gogeta criticizes his GT self's carelessness (something like "it doesn't matter how strong you are, lower your guard and you'll get hurt").

This does imply that the time limit for the earring fusion might not be TRULY canon, if you just go by Toriyama. Since he didn't come up with the idea of Vegito Blue, he likely didn't put in a note saying that it wasn't permanent anymore. So if it becomes a plot point in the manga, like Kelfa MIGHT be?, it might not have the time limit anymore.

This just isn't true. GT Gogeta is exactly like Vegeto in it's style, which is very different from Gogeta. People always forget this, but GT Gogeta's loving around and silly moves was because the world was completely hosed by Omega Shenron's negative energy; the lead up to and including the fight against Omega Shenron from the Shadow Dragons to the fight itself was super repeating how terrible the world was; entire cities were being destroyed by earthquakes and storms, fish were dying and fishing villages starving; some of it was by the Dragons but other was just from the fact the world was super hosed up from the Negative Energy. He hosed around to taunt Omega Shenron into gathering all of the Negative Energy in his body and using it as a weapon against Gogeta, which he then turned into positive energy using his own energy and kicked it into the sky, where it helped fix the world. It was basically straight up magic, akin to some of the stuff Gogeta and Gotenks did. He then immediately went to destroy Omega, but ran out of time. And he ran out of time the same way Vegeto did against Goku Black; he was so strong the Fusion lasted 15 minutes instead of 30, and no one could have known that. While it's true that GT was bad, it's really disingenuous to act like SS4 Gogeta was doing something really stupid like Gotenks; he was clearly intending to be a 100% recreate of Vegeto except with no Potaros they used the dance, because that's a lot of what GT was; taking a really neat idea and making it into a poor retread of something from DBZ instead.
