How does the cash back for the Costco credit card work? Will I get a check in the mail or something? My reward balance went down but I didn't get an email or anything

You'll get an email about this once the statements go out too.

I just went to the Costco tonight: WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED TO THE CARTS? They ate the red Mario mushroom or something-- the top of the cart (where you push) is almost to my shoulders now. I mean, that store is large anyways, but walking around with the cart, my 5'1" self felt like a child. That being said, they had fire extinguishers on sale and I got one. I realized it had been a while since I had checked the ones at home and was betting that they were probably expired/dead. PBUC for saving my future self from a burning house.

I used my American Costco card at the one in Chiba at least twice when I lived in Akita with no problems. It did take them longer to figure out how to process three transaction IIRC, but I was able to get several items I had been missing as well as a thanksgiving turkey that I had to take to a restaurant to cook. I brined the bird and put it in an oven bag and stuck it in their gas oven. I came back 3 hours later to pull it out. Otherwise having a thanksgiving turkey would have involved finding the smallest size bird I could and then using the convection setting on a microwave oven. I had tried that the year before and it had not worked out so well. Also turkey in Japan is expensive and hard to find.

Pros: fuckin delicious Cons: blade tenderized, so you should cook it higher temp than normal steaks so if you like rarer steaks it kind of sucks (I did not do this because the first time I bought them I did not read the blade tenderized part, I managed to live though)

One of my co-workers swung by the Renton Sams Club that is closing. He said everything is 25% off and it looks like the place is getting looted. Line out the door to get in and full carts coming out. His comment "This is the first time I have ever seen a Sams Club busier than a Costco"

I gotta swing by the Costco photo center tomorrow to pick up the invites (because of course we're getting the invites from Costco) I'll ask them while I'm there. We're catering tacos for the party. The place we're getting the tacos from can cater churros too, but let's be real for a second, Costco churros are the best.

Not sure on the tissues but much earlier ITT someone observed that the Kirkland paper towels and toilet paper are made under contract by the same companies that make the national brands. You're getting the same product at a lower price with a different label.
