Is there a season 8 spoilers thread? I can't find it for the life of me. As a bonus, here's the fantastic imgur album where I argue succintly that Euron Greyjoy is a True Hero of The People. (based on a comment itt, of course) https://imgur.com/gallery/Mxlyz#vJgr1GU

I've held off on creating it because it's not airing until 2019, so I'll probably wait until the end of this year. A lot of spoilers are out though, by the time I create the topic we'll probably have them all.

Did it actually get delayed or did everyone forget that season 8 was always going to be in 2019 and get mad about it? Again.

Each generation of game of thrones extended universe writers will be able to conquer a new kingdom, spinning yarns of epic battles at winterfell and king's landing and storm's end alike, but like the targaryens, none of them will ever be able to conquer dorne.

The best thing is that when the universe is overtaken by entropy and collapses into itself again, this series will finally have an end.

Given an infinite number of monkeys chained to an infinite number of typewriters over the span of an infinite length of time, one among their number will eventually finish writing A Song of Ice and Fire through sheer random chance.

I do not want to live in a universe filled with an effectively infinite number of monkeys and typewriters. My jaw can only be ripped out of my head so many times, and you know every goddamn monkey will want to do it. And the infinitely echoing carriage return chiming...

So does HBO have anything else at all to keep viewers once GoT ends? I don't think Westworld has the staying power to keep people invested. In fact, after that first episode, I think we may be in a True Detective type situation where they don't know what the gently caress to do so just kind of try and rehash what made the first season somewhat bearable.

There's always more tits and cgi dragons. They're already working on like 4 different GoT spinoffs.

Nothing is going to have the same dick deep in the zeitgeist the way GoT does. I was pretty undewhelmed by westworld s2 but I think it'll ramp up a bit once they start going out of the park. It's hard to capture that same opening 'holy poo poo' feel. Fahrenheit 451 seems interesting-ish.
