There was Big Money Hustlas and Big Money Rustlas if memory serves and my brain thought they were both westerns but one of them not being a western probably makes more sense.

I remember big money rustlas and the phrase "plow that rear end"

Big Money Hustlas has the phenomenal line - ‘I’m wearing and ape suit, that means I don’t give a gently caress!’

Big Money Hustlas was a parody of Blacksplotation movies like Shaft. It also has Mick Foley as Cactus Sack wrestling Violent J in no DQ Match. It's actually a very loving funny movie. It also has Harland Williams as a cop Harry Sachz. Big Money Rustlas is a western that has Scott Hall in it. It wasn't as memorable to me as the first one.

But yeah, if your goal is to watch "worst thing ever" then, sure, you could do a lot worse than Battlefield Earth.

Thanks! I'd forgotten that I had seen those back when and it'd made for a fun revisit. Is there a way of checking out old b&v episodes conveniently? I've caught up to the current episode now, but the official b&v feed I have set up via Podcast Addict only goes back to July 30th of last year (and even that has gaps). I should say that I am a subscriber; I was just looking for an easier way rather than going to each individual page for each episode.

I saw Battlefield Earth in the theaters for some unfathomable reason and you could hear people audibly groan at how awful it was. Teens, who would normally enjoy a vacant darkened theater with a loudass action flick were LEAVING. Not quite as physically painful to watch as Food Fight(vomit) or Raising The Titanic(pissed blood).

Seems like they are/were having some server issues. I kept timing out while trying to stream it, then I couldn't reconnect, then I finally just downloaded both shows and that worked.

Who was the random 4th guy in the B+V show? I admittedly haven't listened to any B+V shows in a long time but did they get a studio guy recently?

Honestly I think his point was more that a match that would stand out on a WWE show (or any other company) can easily get lost in the shuffle in NJPW these days, so a New Japan 4.5* match would often be ranked higher somewhere else

It freaked me out at first because I thought their guest randomly was getting ridiculously good audio quality until they both said something at the same time. The show was definitely a good listen, I'm glad I was able to download it this morning after a bunch of tries before the whole website crashed.

10 minutes into the newest bischoff podcast and he's already called the practice of writing history books bullshit
|
# ? May 8, 2018 11:04 |

No he just called Bryan and the other writer bullshit and said how can they write a book like that without talking to people like him. That's down to opinion. Calling that book a history book is a reach
|
# ? May 8, 2018 11:13 |
|
it's not an academic history book by any means, but it's as much a history book as your typical bog-standard popular history book written by a journalist. and bischoff said (paraphrased) 'oh its easy to write a book after the events, i could write a book after the superbowl and look like a genius coach'. i get that bischoff and prichard's gimmick is that they hate the dirtsheets, but it's a tiresome gimmick, especially when one of them says stupid stuff like that.
