Crazy Rich Asians was funny. Unless you didn't watch it because you're RACIST How much did GB2016 make? Was it profitable? Because they're not gonna make a sequel to a movie that bombed, you can't cry sexism

Because they're not gonna make a sequel to a movie that bombed, you can't cry sexism Domestically it made slightly more than the 2016 Tarzan movie that absolutely everyone forgot existed but quite a lot more than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which isn't much to brag about. On the worldwide stage it made less than Assassin's Creed but slightly more than The Davinci Code 3 (which everyone has also forgotten about). So it wasn't the absolute worst financial disaster of 2016 but it sure didn't do well. If you adjust for inflation it made less than a quarter of what the original made, domestically.

I am fed up of Finn Wolfhard, and barely tolerate him in Stranger Things. If they wanted to use one of them, have Gaten Matarazzo (who is apparently super nice) Or even Caleb McLaughlin as Winston’s kid.

Reitman just redoes maybe his worst movie, Labor Day (although, gently caress, he also did Men, Women, and Children and that was loving awful), except with four guys in the house instead of one Brolin.

Any of you guys have local Ghostbuster groups like we do in the Detroit area? I was thinking about joining because they do some good charity work, but a decent suit and proton pack would probably get pretty expensive.

I know of the Louisiana Ghostbusters who do parades and lots of charity work around southern Louisiana. A suit is fairly cheap, it’s just a flightsuit you can pick up for ~$30-40. Belt, pads, nametag, hose, belt gadgets if you want them, etc make it add up a little more. A pack can be made cheaply if you want to put all the work in yourself, but they can start to run pricey if you do the shell, parts, lights and sound route. There’s a store on GBFans with some decently priced parts for everything, although if you shop around you could probably get things a little cheaper.

I really want a scene or a line that acknowledges that they had more adventures after GB2. Something like... "This is worse than the spectral schnauzer at Westminster Dog Show back in 97."

deoju posted:I really want a scene or a line that acknowledges that they had more adventures after GB2. Yeah, if we get even one scene where the guys (Ernie, Dan, Bill, or even just one of them) wax nostalgic for previous adventures in the 90s, I'll be super happy. I wonder how they'll talk about Egon, and if they'll mention the stuff that happened during the game. Obviously, I'm referring to the 3% that wasn't a rehash of the first two movies.
