https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYzKdgrX4ng Another free show from Sendai Girls. The main (Hashimoto/Saree vs. DASH/Hiroyo) and semi-main events (Mika Iwata vs. Hikaru Shida) are both great. The opener is well worth watching if you like rookie matches. Even with Yuka vs. Miyu as the only announced match for the Hakata Star Lanes show, I'm confident it'll be a good time. Can't wait to see what gets built in the leadup to it.

So either someone else wrote this tweet, or Mayu's English is way more developed than I thought it would be. https://twitter.com/MayuIwatani/status/1104190201860042752 Also I am very happy STARDOM NYC tickets are selling well.

I wrote that tweet. Mayu is my twin sister, and she is the 'athletic one' while I am the 'goth one'.

Seriously though that Momo Watanabe (c) vs Jungle Kyona match was art. Since Momo is me favorite Stardom wrestler, I rarely want her to lose... but Jungle Kyona captured me and I was hoping she would win this entire feud haha

Was strongly considering going to to the NY indies just to catch DDT, I haven't seen Dino in a decade but I'd love to talk to him again, funny and friendly dude. Saki-sama, Maki Ito and Yamashita are worth the price of admission

Hunter's point is actually the more valid, I think. Charlotte's basically coming at it from the 'shock' perspective. Imagining an Alexa Bliss wrestling the Big Show. But if you put Charlotte herself in the ring with, say, Finn Balor? She's actually going to be bigger than him. That's not necessarily going to read the same way, if they work a normal match. And that's the point, if you normalise it, then it stops being about the shock value, and you can tell the same stories as usual in the ring. Trips has a better point with the notion that women shouldn't inherently NEED to wrestle guys to prove they're valid, because women's matches shouldn't be treated as lesser.

I believe it is very valuable at lower levels where the women get experience against a much wider variety of competition, and usually a higher level of competition as well..

Riho is leaving Gatoh Move to go freelance which if the last few people to do that in Japanese wrestling are anything to go by (Ishimori, Shingo, Irie, Yuu, Natsumi Maki, Miyagi) are anything to go by, she's either leaving the country or signing with someone else. I'd be surprised if it's not AEW or TJPW.

Yeah doing both is probably the most likely outcome and best for her. fwiw she told the reporters at the press conference that she hasn't signed a deal with any "large overseas promotions"

That's one that I might have to travel for if I can save up the cash to do so... In other UK Joshi news; EVE are hinting that Act Yasukawa could be making an appearance there - I assume for the Kris Wolf Retirement show. Certain that there's no chance of anything other than an appearance but even then that's something that should feel very special to me and a few other people.

That's nice considering Stardom seem to have completely washed their hands of her and aren't even bringing her in for the NYC show.

https://twitter.com/tjpw2013/status/1107463554586730496?s=19 TJPW is doing the final women's show at Hakata Star Lanes so they've invited some outside talent and this match sounds amazing Aja Kong & Shoko Nakajima vs. Mika Iwata and Noa Hikari with the latter team being partners because they "worship Jun Kasai as a god". Also getting the Miyu/Yuka TPOP match. Wonder if they send Yuka to DoN as champion and if so wonder if they have Aja challenge her in AEW.
