Wait, this is what this game is about? This? (I've only made it up to the Jesus part but uh.. wow.)

It's incredible how this game gets stupider by the minute, I am flabbergasted at every turn.

Mortimer entrusts politics to Louis, with hilarious consequences. Next time, we meet Jesus.

It's utterly great due precisely how dumb it is.

I love everything about this game, but I also liked Armed & Delirious, so I might just have problems. Also, Mortimer needed just a bit too long to realize that the guy that got himself mutilated and poisoned through sheer incompetence might've not been the best one to carry out his plan.

But the vote doesn’t matter so Louis running around is just a distraction for Mortimer’s real plan.

I'm glad we got to meet Jesus. I feel like someone mentioned that Lizzy had Jesus in her body. The game is winning me back again. It is so dumb that it has wrapped around into enjoyably dumb.

The whole poisoning Holm thing has a kernel of a good idea to it: that these two immortals have known each other for so bloody long that Mortimer could rely on an absurdly specific response to such an innocuous stimulus. The problem is, it comes completely out of nowhere. It doesn't come up anywhere else that Holm has extremely specific ideas about tea, or Mortimer bets Louis some absurd sum that if he offers Holm a glass of wine he'll retch and insist on bringing out some fine Cuban rum instead. They come off as, like, business partners, not guys who've known each other since the Bronze Age.

So could we have cracked Morty upside the head to prevent him from eating Holm?

So besides Peru, they couldn’t be bothered to write anything more than person disappeared endings for “dead” people. Also, that was an incredibly anticlimactic confrontation. Can’t wait to see how it’s all the same for the other Louis’s.

Ah, and at last we reach the point in every telltale style game where the budget is completely gone and they have absolutely no ability to tie up all the paths they've set up, so they just....don't. Still, that was extremely rushed even for these things - I was actually legitimately shocked when I realized that was actually it for the final battle, that's really what they decided to ship. Re: demons vs. politics, I honestly don't think they're completely unconnectable? I was personally expecting the game to go the path of Assassin's Creed or something, with various historical events being revealed to be due to mystical cult nonsense and the like, which is what I thought the demons were going to be. Lean into the demons being some variety of psychic parasite soundwaves, bring in the old canard of "belief = strength", and that should be all the justification you need to have demons care about politics and for the politics to still have meaning even after the reveal. Looking forward to seeing how rushed and poorly handled the other endings are! (comedy guess: Louis IV dies of poisoning as soon as the chapter starts, and the game fades to black without ever actually resolving anything)

Wait, was it covered why Godoy is always on the opposite side of Louis in the vote? Was it a result of choices made, or an extremely lazy way to ensure drama in a game where your choices ostensibly matter?

I'm just going to say that why doesn't the nail kill Louis if all you have to do is 'touch the blood of an ancient'. Didn't he touch it too? Most of the rest has already been covered, but extra-wow.
