Isn't a proper sauna very dry, with only occasional bursts of humidity when you dump water on the rocks? Seems like very poor conditions for mold to grow.

Now a turkish bath, ew god no. Carpet would get downright slimy.

There really was a pool there, I swam in it once or twice. That angle is looking down from the kitchen. Between the cost, and the smell of chlorine over breakfast, I imagine the pool lost its appeal. I drive past that corner pretty often, I knew the owners drained it when I stopped seeing condensation on those windows in the winter.

They're dry until you start dumping water, after which they will inevitably become very humid very fast. Besides you gotta be able to clean the floor with water anyway since it will eventually get grody.
