Sorry, Grammarchist! In looking back on your post it seems like the comic you remember is in a different issue. There's definitely still lots of Star Fox action to be had in this one, though! Episode #15: Vol 47 Points of discussion: - George & Rob should be fired - Star Fox at 60fps is unnatural - Terry Bogard: Origins - Pocky & Rocky is WAY harder than I remembered - Nester's edgy space adventures - a look back on Battletech centers - James Bond Jr looks too good to be on the NES - oh no, Star Fox self-insert OCs - there was a Ducktales 2? - in this stream we support e-sports in Yoshi's Cookie - C•A•M•P ROLLERBLADE OOOO - the hunt for Stephen Miller begins

Thank you so much. I've never seen the beginning of that comic and it's more insane than I could ever imagine. Didn't realize it was that long.

Were you hungry or something yesterday Kaubocks? Beef Heart? Beef Saber? e: too bad you didn't read the best/worst blurbs. George and Rob continue to be roasted. Also also, I now remember that Mega Man X preview, I forgot how irritated I was about how it had things that weren't in the final game or were in different locations FeyerbrandX fucked around with this message at 18:31 on Sep 29, 2019 |

Episode #16: Vol 50 Points of discussion: - the world's shortest Player's Pulse - Run Saber's got STYLE - Megalotainment - "What could PAWSibly go wrong?" - we finally learn what Video Shorts was supposed to be - 16-bit Bohemian Rhapsody - Star Fox (Froyo) Adventures - just one more thing in Link's Awakening - the quest for the 8-bit Terminator theme - Bubble Bobble is a perfect video game

Haven't forgotten about today's stream, though I have admittedly been slow at updating the thread. I'll try and find time to rectify that this weekend! Today at noon PDT we'll be looking at Volume 85, covering over 30 pages of reveals for that hot new gameing platform -- the Nintendo 64! As usual, this will be uploaded to my YouTube channel tomorrow. Kaubocks fucked around with this message at 04:11 on Oct 14, 2019 |

Sorry for the delay; needed to get back home from work to get the subtitles and thumbnail! A bit on the short end this time around, but all... well, most of the games we looked at were real strong entries! I love the thread idea. I had a NP subscription back in the day, during the second year so I missed the first few but still got in when it was every two months instead of monthly. And when reading the table of contents for this thread I saw exactly what I wanted to see.Kaubocks posted:Hey I'm a big smart guy who published the latest video yesterday and posted it on Twitter but forgot to update my thread. Kaubocks posted:Hey I'm a big smart guy who published the latest video yesterday and posted it on Twitter but forgot to update my thread. Oops! Here it is! I know it's been a good long while since this episode, but I'm just catching up through the episodes to say Sword Master remains one of my favorite games, even if playing at speedrun speed causes severe strain on my hands. The UP + SELECT + START function is often mislabeled as a start at the end code, but it's actually a debug boss rush mode. The actual level seven has different music and different monsters on it- I believe the debug map uses the music of the last map you were playing. There's also a free play command for infinite retries which helps out a lot at first: I think DOWN + SELECT + START sounds about right. You might be interested to know that there is a double jump and potentially a triple in game, but it's incredibly hard to do thanks to the refresh rate on a NTSC copy. Had a Nintendo Power subscription from when I was just a small kid all the way until they eventually shut down. They were always the highest quality gaming magazine, if you ask me.

Took a break last week due to the holidays, but it's time to get it back on with Nintendo Power Quest! In an hour I'll be streaming Vol 111 -- featuring Bomberman Hero, Turok 2, Gex 64, and... well, not a lot else, but that's a powerful lineup! As usual, YouTube video will be going up tomorrow.

I was... hesitant about this issue going in, because it seemed to have a lot of sports which is, historically, not what I'm after. In practice it just gave me a lot of free content to skip and Episode #21: Vol 111 Points of discussion: - Player's Pulse reveals a cancelled N64 game - listening to 90% of the soundtrack in Bomberman Hero - I just want to shoot Turok 2's cerebral bore - playing presumably a boss character in King of Fighters 95 - how many URLs does Nintendo still own? - a brief interview with Miyamoto about Ocarina of Time - would Cheech and/or Chong please report to this look at Gex 64? - Undertaker takes a long dirt nap in WWF War Zone - trying to grok Wetrix on sight alone - N64's got some cool-rear end games coming on the horizon

Took a week off for GDQ, but got another episode fresh out of the Twitch -> Youtube exporting oven! Episode #22: Vol 48 Points of discussion: - What contest would the Player's Pulse readers like to win? - I am not smart enough to make The Lost Vikings an interesting watch - peeking at the intro to (Swedish) Shadowrun - find your clownsona in Batman Returns - does Mega Man II earn its Best Music Nester award? - the hardest AI in Space Football: One on One - we can finally get up in Ring Rage - everyone on the set of Mario Bros spends time playing Nintendo - Kirby's Adventure struggles to show us more than two enemies - Kawasaki Caribbean Challenge is not a prize worth winning - a two second look at Blue Brothers and Lethal Weapon - hockey roleplaying on the NES??? Also! There's a couple posts here I keep forgetting to reply to I'll get to them soon I promise!!

Running threads is hard, by which I mean I'm addicted to MMOs and never think of anything else. Didn't stream last week due to working overtime, but I've got a new video for you today! Episode #23: Vol A1 Points of discussion: - What is Nintendo Power Advance? - Introducing the Game Boy Advance - Toad Screams in Your Ear in Super Mario Advance [ASMR] - 90° turn after 90° turn in F-Zero Maximum Velocity and GP Legend - Deleting my hard work in Rayman Advance - Benihanas in your pocket in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 - I need to subject you to Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - NATHAN GRAVES IS THE SMARTEST VAMPIRE HUNTER IN THE SERIES - SUPER DODGE BALL ADVANCE STILL SLAPS
