Six people is nowhere near the minimum viable population to restart humanity. One of the rare cases where the manga takes a scientific shortcut.

I'm pretty sure the last number I saw on something like that is 35, none of them directly related?

Also, this almost certainly confirms the petrification phenomenon was intentionally tested on a global scale on sparrows first.

Everyone in the village is dramatically inbred and in fact everyone is sterile and their bodies are slowly breaking down.

honestly, my biggest complaint about this reveal is that, after humanity got started by a handful of people with only one of them speaking japanese, there's no goddamn way that the language of the village wouldn't speak a Nier-esque Chaos Language

This is actually interesting, given recent developments in the manga, about the behavior we observe here about the petrification wave.

Surely they still had TV and movies/videos and internet and recorded music for a LITTLE BIT after the petrification happened to learn language from.

So, the anime isn't getting it across well, but Boichi needed to study a METRIC FUCKTON of reference photos to accurately draw the ISS.

it's probably why they made an ISS spinoff, so he could draw it more than just a few chapters

The ISS has escape pods in the event of catastrophic damage, but they're basically just dumbfire MOOSE capsules with head shielding and parachutes

in other words, the only way off this slag heap... is gravity.
