There's a big difference between being against voting as an anti-electoral praxis, and actively campaigning against voting by attacking canvassers and propagandizing it.

I knew two people who later moved to Austin to join RGA. One of them got kicked out for trying to introduce "authentic relating" to the group which was way to hippyish for them. They posted a long screed denouncing him, and the other one who used to be his best bud even harrassed him on Facebook for it using a nom de guerre. They're incredibly goofy and self own constantly, but I don't think it's a psyop. It's somehow too dumb for even that. It's just a bizarre cult, and actually I'm incredibly surprised to hear they're still around. They announced that they had disbanded about a year ago and haven't had any online presence since, where they used to post all the time because what's the point of spraying graffiti on signs or hanging up pig heads if nobody knows about it? I'd be fascinated to get the whole story of what happened to them, hopefully somebody makes a documentary about them someday.

On second thought maybe they are rats lol. Before they disbanded, their leader, "Comrade Dallas" had been in jail for a few months. Maybe he made a deal to get out. That would also explain the lack of posting; why bother to spread the ideology if you're now the worst kind of class enemy

did anything result from those charges? seemed to mysteriously go away. i think the truth about whether they're a cult or cointelpro is probably both/and though. one thing that hasn't been talked about much is how they successfully cowed the austin socialist collective into disbanding through death threats pasted on the members' doors at night with names of family members etc. -- a level of detail that not even the ASC had about its own members. the pressure was too much so the members gave up organizing. from what i heard they're convinced they were targeted by state suppression. a pro-trump fascist group (less active now) called the texas nomads also gloated about a RGA doxx of an "SRA" guy (different group from the main SRA) who was hassling them in the days before the RGA actually published it. very curious. its gets weirder. the RGA then vandalized the property of one of the fascist guys, who then organized a small protest against "left wing violence." some anarchist types showed up to counter, nothing happened though, and then feds showed up hassling the anarchist bookstore in town. seemed like a setup the fascist guy who had his property vandalized a few months ago more recently showed up to hassle / do provocation at a DSA antiwar protest, and RGA was quick to publish an article denouncing DSA for not escalating to violence against the guy, which therefore makes the DSA, according to RGA, by extension fascists who can be attacked by RGA. pressure comes from both directions BrutalistMcDonalds fucked around with this message at 17:52 on Jan 13, 2020 |

If the RGA even remotely believed in their message of violent resistance they would just start a terrorist bombing campaign and slowly turn into the Weathermen (with similar results), that they havent and exclusively target other left wing groups means they are either cowards, larouchite style morons who shift to the far right in a few years or cops.

also i think the govt shutdown thing is a meme / joke about them being cops (for other reasons) rather than evidence. i don't think the timelines match and the image might've been shopped. funny gag though
