I meant to ask about this back when SpaceX did their most recent astronaut mission, but what's the story with this photo? I think I got it a while ago in a previous image thread but it's like it doesn't exist anywhere on the internet.

Context: It's suppose to be a sharecropper out in front of his cottage with no electricity in the 60s (?) while one of the Apollo (?) missions is taking off into space.

it's from a series by Danish photographer Jacob Holdt titled 'American Pictures' which has a chapter on Symbols of white oppression. You can view the full set here:

Yeah, I went looking for it a few years ago and it turned into a huge thing with a couple dozen goons trying to find it.

I don't know why it's almost vanished, it's such a powerful image.
