Is there ever any canon source on what the purpose of the True Blood society was for? I always thought it was implied they were Dark Friend hunters, but I'm not sure if I read it in some non-main-book source or just came up with it in my head years ago.

Heirn is among the first Aiel we meet and is Tain Shari (True Blood), but I don't remember anything mentioned about them or interactions with Maidens or the other societies we get more exposure to. I haven't looked at my big book of bad art in a long time though, maybe there's something in there. I know there's some fan-fic stuff about them from WOT Muds and PNP settings, but I really doubt that was sourced from canon.

Man, prologues really got out of hand as the series went on. The prologue for Knife of Dreams is almost 1/7th of the book. There's nothing like being 4 hours into an audiobook and hearing "The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and go..."

Oh, Kerene is a character from New Spring? Don't remember her at all. So seems like at this point they're mixing New Spring, Book 1, and Book 2 into Season 1. Which makes sense considering they probably have to do a lot of rethinking and adaptation to make this poo poo work in a sensible amount of seasons.

i legit just wish i knew a premiere date at this point because waiting for this to happen is gonna be torture. like, worst case scenario it's just gonna be goofy and something to laugh at. best case scenario, it ends up another game of thrones but doesn't have to deal with 'is finishing before the books do'.

I hope they continue with their racially blind castings. Cast a blonde as Tuon, black Elayne, black Selucia, pale red heads as sea folk, any race for Aiel etc. It will be entertaining to continue to see people get offended.

Where is this being filmed? Wondering if it's in a place like New Zealand that isn't a hell hole right now. Though even if so you still have to fly the actors and actors aren't flying so I imagine production is shut down for the foreseeable future.
