I've been wondering what it does to a person's psyche to take on a different personality for so many hours in a week. I imagine even when they're chatting in someone else's stream (Amelia please get some sleep) or on Twitter they have to put in some effort to keep from responding as themselves. When people talk about Vtubers 'finding their voice' do they mean figuring out where the line is between their offscreen and onscreen personalities? Obviously there is a range, the horny pirate seems to be herself with an anime avatar, but then we have Luna who I seriously hope isn't anything like that when she's hanging out with her friends IRL. No need for me to drag out my dirty laundry but I have had serious issues squaring away who I pretend to be with who I actually am, I find this stuff fascinating.
